Response to: “What are your best kids soccer gear recommendations?”We’ve always tried our cleats on at a sporting good store. Don’t get the shin guard socks. They don’t offer any ankle support and are just awful. We also like these elastic bands that go over the laces to keep them from getting untied during games. I can see if I can link them. Response to: “What is your favorite ebook reader?”I have a kindle paper white as well and really like it. My understanding is that the only difference between the paper white and the regular kindle is that the paper white is waterproof and was a warm light option (I’d have to double check though) So if those features don’t seem worth it to you- go with the traditional and save some $
Response to: “Best water bottle for toddler? Seems like such an easy purchase but we’ve already gone through several and she is only 2”This is hard because it’s going to depend on what your child likes and what works for them 🤷🏻♀️ But I totally remember trying like 5 different cups before finding one my girls would use!! I agree that that the thermos one is a good option. We’re actually still using them since you can buy replacement straws.
Response to: “Family Friendly Halloween Movies”This is super random but we just watched this the other day (my kids love it) but on Netflix it’s called True: tricky treat day. It’s only like 20 min and they have short little episodes for different seasons. But it’s cute and spooky without being scary. If you watch it let me know what you think!
Response to: “What are your favorite early instruments for kids? And how do you motivate them to practice?”Do they have the option to play an instrument through school? (Like the recorder in 4th grade) haha my oldest did that and now is playing the clarinet and loves it. One of my twins just started piano a few months ago but we haven’t gotten to the point where she’s pushing back on practicing. She is asking for Taylor Swift sheet music- so I was going to get her some for something fun to play. That always helped me when I was taking lessons!
Response to: “Thoughts or experiences using children’s melatonin for toddler on long flights?”I haven’t had to give melatonin on a flight, but we do at home occasionally (and did during the toddler phase as well) But we did need to give Dramamine on a flight because of airsickness (I want to say my girls were 8, 6, & 6 though) and that works wonders on a flight for sleep and nausea! 😆
Response to: “If you could redo the baby phase, what things would you actually want?”I would say a meal service a few times a week. That was a life saver for me. I also love the comment about a cleaning service! Anything to help lighten the mental load because you really don’t need a lot of “stuff” or gadgets.
Response to: “Salads...”if you don’t like salad, I wouldn’t try and force yourself to eat salad 🤷🏻♀️ How do you feel about soups? I actually feel like I eat healthier in the wintertime bc I can throw stuff that I like together in the crockpot with minimal effort.
Response to: “Is there anything you've given up minimized or banned from your home to make the house run smoother?”Glitter and slime! We also use paper plates on nights we have extracurriculars (which is almost every night right now🤦🏻♀️) But a friend once told me that paper plates are cheaper than a maid and it makes me smile every time I get them out!
