Family Friendly Halloween Movies

My kids love watching holiday movies leading up to the actual day, but I struggle with Halloween because of being able to find age appropriate content. I have 4 under 7 years old and one that is very impressionable to scary images and who has recurring nightmares. Any recommendations? I’m tired of the same 4 or 5 Halloween movies. 😂🤣

This is super random but we just watched this the other day (my kids love it) but on Netflix it’s called True: tricky treat day. It’s only like 20 min and they have short little episodes for different seasons. But it’s cute and spooky without being scary. If you watch it let me know what you think!

We like: “Room on the Broom,” “Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit,” “Book of Life,” “Coco,” “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. My kids just watched “The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist,” but I haven’t seen it. Excited for other ideas.

      • andreaI was going to recommend Room on the broom. It is a favorite at our house

My 4 year old loved nightmare before Christmas, although I’m pretty sure he understood half of it but was smitten by the music which is indeed great.
He also liked “Mickey and friends, trick or treat) 20 mins.

      • My kids love Halloween movies. For less scary ones, Disney plus has a lot. Your kids might like the Halloween Mickey Mouse episodes and Toy Story of Terror.

The Book of Life, Halloween Town and it’s sequels, Twilight (JK, but Halloween Town and Twilight were both filmed in my home town.)
Coco was previously mentioned. Hocus Pocus, Descendants, That Darn Cat, The adventures of Icabof and Mr. Toad, The Cat from Outer Space.
Any and all Tim Burton movies. Coraline is a maybe, it’s easier if you know what it is that scares your kids. Zombies the Disney movie.
