Response to: “looking for ideas for a *complicated* Halloween handout 🎃”My kids had a favorite house last year. They had a couple of corn hole games set up. Then the kids get 3 bean bags. If they got one bag in the hole they got a full-size candy bar. If they missed they got a mini candy bar. It was interactive and fun.

Response to: “If you could redo the baby phase, what things would you actually want?”My favorites for nursing moms are the Hakaa Ladybug milk collectors, lanolin for irritation, and the stretchy wraparound nursing covers that can also be used as an infant carseat cover!

Response to: “Family Friendly Halloween Movies”The Book of Life, Halloween Town and it’s sequels, Twilight (JK, but Halloween Town and Twilight were both filmed in my home town.) Coco was previously mentioned. Hocus Pocus, Descendants, That Darn Cat, The adventures of Icabof and Mr. Toad, The Cat from Outer Space. Any and all Tim Burton movies. Coraline is a maybe, it’s easier if you know what it is that scares your kids. Zombies the Disney movie.
Response to: “Let’s talk Santa. How long did your kids keep believing?”My husband never allowed me to have the Christmas believing of Santa for my kids. He straight up told them the moment they heard about Santa that he didn’t exist. The best think I could come up with was say Santa is a symbol and example of the spirit of giving. Instead of receiving from Santa we try to be like Santa who ultimately is also trying to be like the Savior and Heavenly Father. So, since you already have believers, you can teach them to begin trying to give like Santa gives.
Response to: “What are your top Bay Area recommendations for families with kids in elementary school?”Fairyland! But the younger the kid is the more fun it is.
Response to: “What's your stance on allowances?”My husband is very happy to give our kids minecoins as long as they are cleaning their room and doing their homework and helping me with cleaning when I ask. We started this within the last year my participating children are 8 and 5.
Response to: “How do you clean squishmallows?”I googled this last Christmas because my husband bought a mega size Pikachu Squishmallow and within a week it smelled like pee. I wrapped it in a sheet and washed it by itself in the washer and then squeezed and dried it over the laundry room sink until it wasn’t dripping anymore then put it out in the sun to finish drying.
